This past weekend we took a trip to Pittsburgh to visit relatives. We went to our cousin's graduation party (a fun carnival theme - it poured for part of the time, but thankfully not for all of it) and on Monday - Wednesday we all went camping together. We only have a few pictures of the trip, but here they are.
The fist night we visited a natural water slide.
Tuesday we had an exciting outing:

| now apparently it's time for everyone to check their bikes |
Biking 11 miles to a cafe for lunch, then one more mile to a beach where we swam for a few hours.
As we were taking off to bike home, a thunder storm sprung up and we took shelter for almost an hour... Thinking that the rain was almost finished, we headed out only to be poured on again and soaked to the bone. The whole 12 miles home we were biking through HUGE mud puddles and being coated with more of that *lovely* brown stuff.

| the tires threw mud up on our backs the whole way home |
After some much-anticipated warm showers, we headed over to a pizza place where we devoured at least 10 delicious pizzas and lots of ice cream.
Despite (or especially because of) the unexpected rain the day was a wonderful adventure!
Other highlights of the trip included a prayer time for the parents, games, and camp fires.

Other recent and random happenings:
Last night we prepared dinner with friends: Vegetable lasagna, Caesar salad, Bolillos, Apple Pie & whipped cream - delicious.

A few weeks ago the wild black berries were ripe, so we got a good bucket-full.
We've also been preparing for the Bible Bee which is in 3 weeks. I have some videos of recitations, but can't get them uploaded for some reason. :(
