Christmas

Because Christmas was on a Sunday this year, we opened our gifts on Christmas Eve.
 The Stockings were... hidden all over the house!

We had a short visit from Uncle Don.

He gave us a brief lesson on economics and history.

We cleaned up the house and made dinner quickly so we could make it to our Christmas Eve service on time.

Christmas Eve mashed potatoes - with beets and carrots! 

After the service (which Joanna played flute in) we took the backroads home to look at Christmas lights - one of our traditions (but we couldn't find the light-up deer tied up in a tree that we've seen other years:( )

Once home we had a special dessert - monkey bread and carbonated cider water kefir :)

On Christmas day we had 19 dear friends over between our morning and evening church services.
