Bible Bee

This summer Jessica, Jason, Joanna, and I had the opportunity to participate in the first ever National Bible Bee at the local level. We were given about 300 passages to memorize, ranging from about 2-10 verses each and 5 books of the Bible to study for a Bible knowledge test. So... we found ourselves pretty overwhelmed as the time grew shorter, but although we didn't memorize nearly all the passages, the benefits of what we did memorize will have eternal benefits. The local competition (Sep.12) itself was a good experience, and we enjoyed getting to know other families there. Although none of us made it to the national competition, we did know a few people who did go. We enjoyed watching the 4 hour national finals on November 6 on the Bible Bee website - we were very amazed at how well the finalists knew hundreds of verses. http://www.biblebee.org/ ~Janelle
