Medieval Feast

This week we just finished our first Unit of Tapestry of Grace for this year called The Middle Ages. So for the first time since we started Tapestry of Grace, we had a unit party! A Medieval Feast.

The Menu:

Makerouns (like macaroni and cheese)

Mushroom Pasty (sauteed mushrooms in a pie) Meat pie (diced meat with raisins, nuts, cheese, etc.)

Prepared Lettuce (Lettuce with salt, vinegar, & olive oil)

Official Medieval table manners:

~No spitting across the table.

~No dipping meat in the salt dish.

~Do not pick your teeth with a knife or finger.

Jessica sewed dresses for herself and Julia.

Here they are with Jeannine. Jessica made her dress and Julia's. It truly was a feast. Both rich and filling.
