Let it Snow! (and other events)

Although this year's snow is nothing compared to last December, snow lovers in our family have been making good use of the melting inch or so. Jeannine and Jason have been out more than the rest of us making snowboard trails in the front yard and on the bike trail hill nearby. I joined them a couple days ago (despite the fact that it was above freezing and 20% of the time we were sledding over dirt and rocks) and they took me on their snowboard trail that goes crashing through the twigs and saplings in the woods behind our house. Besides a few bruises, we had a lot of fun!

Every year we like to make paper snowflakes and put them on our glass doors. Even when we dismantle our other Christmas decorations, the snowflakes stay up all winter. This year we decided to name our snowflakes based on how they turned out. Names included: "Tail Feather," "Light of the World," "Hollander," "Arrowhead," "Redeemer's Proclaimers," "Queen Victoria," and "Irene & Curdie" (from The Princess and Curdie).
We're all hoping for snow on Christmas!
