Last Saturday, we went to one of the local Bible Bee competitions. If you would like to know more about the Bible Bee you can visit the website: http://www.biblebee.org/
All the contestants had from June 1st to August 28th to prepare as much as possible by memorizing(800 verses for Senior, 500 for Junior, 250 for Primary) and doing a thorough study on Colossians. The top 100 from every category proceed to Nationals.
We were really happy this year because they gave us each a Tshirt, Bible, Verse Cards, and the Sword Study, whereas last year they did not give anything.
We want to say a BIG Thank You to every one who prayed for us. Your prayers were answered abundantly! We all felt the peace of God ruling over us when we recited.

Janelle got 1st place in Senior(out of 2), Jessica got 2nd place in Junior
After the competiton was over, we went with some friends to celebrate with supper, and then our family took a walk at Meadowlark Gardens.
We found out yesterday if we would be going to Nationals or not. Sadly, none of us made it to the top 100 for our category. Janelle ranked 138th out of 479 Seniors, Joanna ranked 158th in Senior, and I ranked 164th out 1045 in Juniors. Although we will not get to go to the National competition, we were still blessed for eternity by treasuring God's Word in our hearts.

Congratulations for doing so well, even if you didn't make it to nationals! :) I admire you all for the dedication it took to prepare for this.
