Cherry Blossoms

Every year our family goes down town one evening in the spring to see the cherry blossoms. We usually walk (at least part way) around the Tidal Basin. We stayed later this time - walked the second half in the dark, but the reflections in the Basin are lovely.

Our view from the steps of the Jefferson Memorial where we ate dinner.

Cherry blossoms (not quite full bloom) in front of the Jefferson Memorial. Since Joanna and I were very little, we have taken pictures in front of one tree. Each year it looked older, and a few years ago it was gone! This year a new tree was planted in its place. The branches hanging over the tidal basin are so beautiful.
