Our church has had a ministry at a local nursing home for several years and we've been able to form friendships with the residents there. Joanna planned a Christmas recital for her and my students and it went well! Ina, one of Joanna's especially good friends there, had her birthday on that day and it meant SO SO much to her that we were there for it. Her eyesight is bad, but she drew the lovely sign on the piano and wanted to make sure the kids got a picture with it to remember that this was where they got started with music.
