Thanksgiving 2010

God blessed us with a fun, encouraging, and thankful day yesterday with the 21 people at our home. After 3 full days of food and house preparation, the results of our efforts gave great results!

Thanksgiving Menu:
-turkey
-stuffing
-mashed potatoes
-turkey gravy
-sweet potatoes
-corn pudding
-green beans
-salad bar
-fresh cranberry salad
-lacto-fermented dilly carrot sticks and pickles w/ olives
-homemade rolls
-2 pear/cranberry, 2 pecan, and 3 pumpkin pies
-vanilla ice cream
After dinner, soccer lovers and those up for some entertainment headed out for a fun game of soccer in the dark. Arriving at home, different groups of people visited and played games.

WOW--If we had known about the GREAT menu, and all the work you girls went to for delicious homemade dishes and a colorful table, we wouldn't have said no to the invite (though six more would have burst your home). Our meal was rather simple (except tasty dishes made by Mrs. Bentley), and we had no eager gamers to create a party atmosphere. Maybe you should start workshops to teach other teens how to entertain!
Nice to see so many family photos, and learn new things about you all that never come up at church. I had not viewed the blog in a year...
