Every few weeks (though the goal is every week) we review how the Lord has helped us the past week. We used to each write our own on 3x5 cards and put them in the "Thankful Box" to review on days like Thanksgiving. Lately Daddy writes them all down on one paper. Anyway, I thought that might be a good way to give an update on our family lately. (vacation location to come later:)) So, here's what I can remember about our thankful list:
- An important sale that Daddy had been working on came in on the last day of the fiscal year (dispite the efforts of people who didn't want it)
- Daddy gets to keep the boss he likes for the next work year
- Jason got to go fishing (and swimming) on the Shannendoah River with some men and boys from church
- Jeannine and Julia got to go swimming 3 times in 1 week!
- Joanna, Janelle, and Jessica spent 9 hours with two good friends preparing a meal for our families (and chatting, of course!)
- Mommy, Janelle, Jeannine, and Julia had a great time playing Scrabble with an older lady from church and another single friend
- Daddy, Joanna, and Jessica had a successful meeting with our town's association and other neighbors about an important issue - God gave Jessica and Joanna courage to speak well in front of quite a few people and hopefully be a good wittness.
- We attended our old church's 100th year anniversary picnic - it was good to see old faces (or them to see us even if some of us kids were only tiny when they saw us last)
My memory fails me on any others, but God is good!
